Point objects visualization

Let’s start with the most basic type of objects — point objects. These can include:

1. Car, ship or airplane (i.e. some dynamic object)
2. Measurement (value of some parameter at some location)
3. Route waypoint or track point (point as part of some object, that has sufficient meaning to be considered as independent object)
4. Place or location itself, for instance grocery shop, museum or popular touristic spot with nice view.

In all these cases we have not just the point object, but also additional properties that it has, especially if we want to visualize multiple different objects on the map. In this case, we can also talk about the category of the object.

We can talk about the following typical tasks of point objects visualization:

1. Visualize the object itself in such a manner, that the user recognizes the object.
2. If there are multiple types of the objects, make clear differentiation between types.
3. Visualize additional properties of the objects.
